This refreshing, sweet twist on strawberries will surely become a weekly summer favorite for the whole family. Can also be made in bulk for any party or get together!

Ingredients

Scale

4 pounds of cut strawberries

16 ounces of sour cream

1 can of sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup of sugar

1 tsp vanilla

Whipped cream optional

Instructions

Cut Strawberries

Mix all other ingredients togther

Pour on top of strawberries, mix

Top with more strawberries and whipped cream

What a weekend! A great time had by all.
But the best part?
Me. Back on the water.

There is something so healing about that river. Brought back some amazing memories with my girls. As each of them tubed, I looked back and saw my babies. They looked 10 years old. Reminded me of who I was then, who I have become. Who I have raised. And I am filled with pride.

Took me back to the years my husband and I were first together. Some incredibly special days. Our sanctuary then and our sanctuary now. A place that no matter the chaos, we would escape and always find each other. Our happiness. Our peace.

And here we are again. When you get in the walls of those cliffs and trees, it’s like all your worries leave with your cell service. You get to just look at Gods majesty. His absolute divine creation. The wind. The water.

Yall, I have never been happier. Thank you God for giving us exactly what we needed at the right time. All of this is possible bc of him. He carried me then and he carries me now. Right down that river. With all my kids in tow. Just like I like it. 💙🩵💙

Yall didn’t think we would go out with out our favorite captain did yall? It was so special to have Landon with us on our first boat ride.

He had a blast riding and swimming and playing. And now he doesn’t have to wait for rec therapy days. He can go any time he wants!

P.S. if you don’t know he has a special need life vest he wears at all times. This pic was seconds of him entering boat while boat was beached. You will not see him on our moving boat or in lake with out his jacket on at all times. His jacket keeps him afloat and head upright at all times.
I say this to educate people.

Surprise! We are now boat owners!
We have waited a long time and made some sacrifices to get back here.

Back story, I grew up on boats with my dad’s family at the coast. Grew up going to the blessing of the fleet and all the things. My cousins are all boat captains.

I took my girls when they were little every chance I could. They also fell in love with tubing and wake boarding. Tinsley being the dare devil!

Dustin and I had a Moomba for a few years when we first got married and took the kids. But sold it to buy our property and build.

We have talked about a boat for 10 years. But we were a house divided. I always wanted a pontoon and they all wanted a wake boat. They almost had me convinced the last time we went to my dad’s and I started looking at moombas again.
But.

This last visit to my dad’s, my cousin said “Adrianne, we have owned all the boats. Pontoon is what the kids always want to go out on”. And my family finally decided a pontoon was the one.

We weren’t really ready to buy. Really wanted to wait until off season or next May. But I wanted to get a feel for what I wanted and how much. Yall know me, the research queen. So I got online, built my dream boat to see colors and options. What would cost what so when I was ready I would know what I wanted to spend my money on and what I didn’t.
Then I got on boat trader just to compare new and used and years and options.
What I wanted was very specific.

I fell in love with the @bentleypontoons at a boat show a couple years ago. The lay outs, the value, the look.

Upon my research, I found the boat that checked all my boxes. The EXACT boat I would have built on boat trader. In Nashville. As a dealer demo. 8 hours on it. For a fraction of the cost.

I prayed about it. We weren’t quite ready. But this opportunity wasn’t going to present twice. I prayed for doors to open or doors to close.

Next thing I know, we are on our way to Nashville. And now we are boat owners.

If you know us at all, this is our absolute dream. We are all water babies. An investment (ha) into my family. Memories. 🌊
