UGLY PEACH COBBLER

Don’t judge a book by its cover! This peach cobbler may not be the prettiest, unless you have some magic touch….but its the yummiest! Every single person that tries it says its the best they have ever had. I think its bc I use fresh peaches from http://thepeachtruck.com You can absolutely use frozen or canned too. You must add http://bluebell.com vanilla bean ice cream on top! Serve warm!

  • Author: Adrianne Argumaniz

Ingredients

Scale

3 Cups sliced peaches, fresh is my favorite but you can ue canned or frozen too

2 Tablespoons + 1 Cup sugar (keep separate)

1/2 Cup butter softened

1 Cup Flour

1 Teaspoon baking powder

Pinch of Salt

Pinch of Nutmeg/cinnamom

1 Large egg

1 Teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease a baking dish.
  2. Spread sliced peaches in single layer
  3. Sprinkle the peaches with the 2 Tablespoons of sugar
  4. In a mixing bowl, use a hand mixer and beat the cup of sugar and softened butter. Add flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg/cinnamon, egg and vanilla. Mix together until it feels like cookie dough.
  5. Spread the dough over the peaches using a spatula. Try to make it even, but it won’t be pretty.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes. Let stand for 5-10 minutes. Serve warm with a side of vanilla bean ice cream. Add whipped cream!

Ice, ice, baby… with a little extra length. 🧊🤍
I don’t even chew gum. 🤣
These two clowns. Isaiah came over after work to help Dustin hang our new tv cover since the weather took out our other one. Of course it’s raining all week and a tarp can only do so much.
So I made home made chicken spaghetti with my farm raised chicken, by yours truly, and home made fresh milled pasta to feed everyone since we appreciate the help so much.

I said let me take your pic. This is their insta pose. 🤣

This tv cover is amazing! It’s UV resistant, weather resistant and I don’t have to make sure no one left the cover off! Win/Win! 🤍
When you’re 7 people deep and have to whip chairs out of the make up room just for people to process.

Secrets to my success:
💋 I treat my clients like they are always right. I’m seeing more and more girls, especially with only a couple years experience, lay boundaries down for paying clients. While yes, our time is valuable but there is no value in no clientele. Learn the balance. Respect comes when earned.

💋 I don’t say no. I worked weekends, nights, my days off and every hour in between. You can be selective once you build. And even then I didn’t get selective until year 15.

💋I tell my clients the truth. I tell them I won’t cut it, or I’m cutting it, or they can or can’t have a perm. I tell them when a color won’t look good with their skin. I tell them they don’t need bangs bc they are emotional.

💋I educated myself and then my client. I don’t jump on bandwagons. I don’t recommend products bc of cute packaging or smell. I researched. I know my lines and products like the back of my hand. So I educate my clients to use quality products and honestly, not very many of them. They don’t need more products, they need the right ones.

💋I get personal. I over share and I make them feel comfortable talking about their life too. My clients are my best friends and I am theirs. We talk about our lives, lift each other up, share experiences and wisdom. Some of my best advice came from my clients and I pass on to others. Trust is built here.

Success comes in more ways than one. It’s not just skill. It’s all in the heart. Your clients aren’t a business transaction and don’t need more walls.

They need kindness, care and concern. Skill is a bonus. ✌🏼
