Every month we are doing something around here! We enjoy surprises and showering our friends with love and goodies! Make sure you’re on our email list so we can include YOU!
Please stop telling me to “ignore”.
I’m 46 years old. I know when to ignore and when I want to say something. Doesn’t mean I always get it right, but I like to error on the side of communicating.
If I’m addressing something, it’s bc I am tired of ignoring. I know how to ignore. You have no idea how much I do ignore. My family and friends will tell you I have a gold medal in “ignoring”.
There is a lot I don’t say. So, when I do, either ignore me or support me but I’m not soliciting advice to ignore on my socials.
This is what I have learned:
1. You think people want the attention? Oh yes, yes they do, but it’s not usually the kind I give them. No one likes to look stupid and that’s exactly what I’m gonna make you look.
2. Consequences work. When did silence or lack of discipline ever work? People quit when others call them out or they have to stand and deal with their choice. Silence and ignoring just makes it easy on someone who doesn’t have boundaries or is afraid of conflict. I’m not saying there isn’t a time or place, trust me, I know how to pick my battles.
3. Silence is a free pass for people to speak to or act however they want. I choose to communicate my feelings and boundaries. Can’t say you didn’t know.
4. Sometimes I want to share with my community and support system for my own mental health.
5. Sometimes I share bc I want others to know they aren’t alone.
But one thing you need to know about me, I am not afraid. I will call you out, I’ll show up to the good fight, I will stand up for myself and others, and I will NOT BACK DOWN.
So if you don’t like that about me, no need to announce your departure, get on with it. But for those who need the support and want to support me, I love you being here. ✌🏼
“Fresh off the Market” part 2. I’m so grateful to all of our friends and family who came and showered our girl! We played who knows the bride and groom best, draw teaghens dress, and a get to know each other bingo. Teaghen received some fabulous gifts to start her new chapter!
We are all so beyond blessed with such an amazing support group. Love you guys. 🤍💍
